he V800 Sports Watch from Polar allows you to tell time, track your position with GPS, monitor your training sessions and daily activity, and more. Its easy-to-read backlit screen displays fitness-related feedback, which can help you create a training program based on your personal goals. The V800 supports triathlon training with transition times and can be customized for training in 20 different sports. Built-in GPS informs speed and distance data as well as route information, all of which can be viewed online.

The V800 includes a black Polar H7 heart rate sensor, CS cadence sensor, and Universal Bike Mount—everything you need to start tracking your triathlon performance. Both sensors transmit crucial health and activity data to your V800 to help you improve performance.

Using the included USB connection to plug the V800 into your internet-connected computer, you can gain access to the Polar website, which allows you to keep a record of your workouts, track progress, access GPS information, and plot future workout programs. You can also enter your data into the site manually.

Fitness Test
If you're looking to improve your fitness and want to keep up to date with how well you're doing, the Fitness Test will tell you what you need to know in just five minutes. By regularly comparing your test results, you can see what progress you are making and how your fitness is improving
Running Index
If you're looking to keep on top of your running performance, you'll find this feature a big help. Regular use over time allows you to see how efficient your running is. Your Running Index score is calculated automatically after every run, based on your heart rate and from the speed data collected from your GPS or optional stride sensor. A higher reading indicates that you can run faster with less effort. In V800, this feature can also recognize if you're running uphill or downhill
Smart Calories
OwnCal calculates the number of calories expended during a training session based on your weight, height, age, gender, your individual maximum heart rate (HRmax), and how hard you're training
Orthostatic Test
This test shows how your heart rate responds to training and factors such as stress and illness. By repeating the test regularly, you'll learn what to expect with your heart rate and what can affect it. You can then adjust your training to allow your body to recover when it needs it
Training Benefit
Motivating feedback that's delivered immediately after exercise is something we can all benefit from. So, if you want to know the effect of different training sessions, this feature will tell you what you need to know. You get a quick overview after each session. For more detailed feedback, you can either check your training file or go to the Polar Personal Trainer website for further in-depth analysis
Training Load and Recovery
Helps you find the perfect balance between rest and training. Shows you how much your training affected your body and how long it takes for you to recover. Continuous monitoring of training load and recovery will help you recognize personal limits, avoid over- or under training, and adjust training intensity and duration according to your daily and weekly targets
Recovery Status Based on 24/7 Activity
Know your true recovery status by combining your workout training load with data on the small activities you do every day. Get a picture of your required recovery time before getting out there again
User-Definable Heart Rate Zone Limits
There are three ways you can set zone limits: as default heart zones that are automatically calculated based on your max HR; as free heart rate zones for which you can set the limits yourself; or as heart rate zones based on thresholds which you can define yourself
HRmax (Age-Based)
The highest number of heart beats per minute (bpm) during maximum physical exertion. For a rough estimate of your maximum heart rate, subtract your age from 220. HRmax is a useful tool for determining the intensity of training as intensity zones can be defined using HRmax. Some Polar products define maximum heart rate during the Polar Fitness Test, see also HRmax (Polar Fitness Test-based)
Polar Fitness Test
Polar Fitness Test measures your aerobic fitness at rest in just five minutes. The result, Polar OwnIndex, evaluates your maximal oxygen uptake (VO2max). With the Polar Fitness Test you can measure your aerobic fitness by yourself, automatically and without any exertion. All you need is your training computer. The Polar Fitness Test is as accurate in predicting the VO2max as any sub maximal fitness test. The test is based on heart rate and heart rate variability at rest and personal information
Vibration and Audio Alerts
During training, you are notified with a sound or vibration, for example when you need to slow down or speed up to make sure your training goes as planned
Tap Gestures
When you tap the display of your training computer in time mode, it will show your recovery status. During training, you can also take lap time, change the training view or activate the light by tapping the display
Graphical Target Zone Indicator
This feature points out graphically on the display the zone you are in during a training session, helping you to stay on the desired intensity zone
Adjustable Sport Profiles
Lets you list all your favorite sports and define specific settings for each one of them. For example, you can create tailored views for each sport you do and choose what data you want to see when you train (i.e. just heart rate or only speed and distance) - whatever suits you and your training needs and requirements best. It will also automatically detect the sensors you have added. You can set up to 20 sport profiles with the V800
ZonePointer is a visible and moving symbol on the training computer display indicating whether you are inside the pre-set target zone. This feature helps you to reach the desired intensity/pace/speed/cadence targets
ZoneLock feature helps you acclimate to a certain intensity. You can either lock a zone before a training session or during it by pressing a button when you are on the desired zone
Activity Zones
Activity zones track your daily activities at five intensity levels: resting, sitting, low, medium, and high. You can check how active you've been at the Polar Flow web service and mobile app. You can also compare the intensity of the different activity zones (low, medium, high). The higher the intensity, the faster your activity goal is reached
Advanced Activity Analysis
Activity reports store all your daily activity so that you can easily analyze your daily and long-term physical activity. The total active time tells you the cumulative time of body movements that are good for your body and health. Besides the many details you get about your physical activity and all the health benefits that come with it, you can also see the inactive periods and when you've been still for too long
Training Diary
Diary is available at the Polar web service. When you transfer your training results from your training computer to the Diary, you can follow up your activity well as plan future training sessions. You can choose to see your training history in a month or week view, along with a monthly or weekly summary
Sleep Duration and Quality
Starts tracking your sleep time automatically when you lie down and your body movements slow. It also tracks your body movements as you sleep. The Polar Flow mobile app and web service tell you how much you slept in total and how restful your sleep was. By showing you the amount of restful versus restless sleep, it gives you a detailed look into how you sleep at night and how changes in your daily life can affect your sleep patterns
Weekly History
Weekly history gathers your weekly training data. By selecting a week, you can review your training data for the week
